Protea Gels - Ready to run SDS Polyacrylamide solutions
Protein "ready to run" SDS Polyacrylamide solutions polymerize into an advanced molecular sieve for electrophoretic separation of proteins. Protea Gels allow a single separating Gel - no stacking gel is required with unparalled band resolution.
Protein Gel Stains and destaining solutions
Both Coomassie and Silver stains are offered. Protea's Super Blue Coomassie stain is an excellent choice for visualising proteins by SDS-PAGE gel electropheresis. Our Silver stain is useful for the detection of minor protein components with 50 -100 fold greater sensitivity than Coomassie.
Gel Protein Recovery System (GPR)
Designed for the recovery of intact proteins from 1D and 2D SDS-PAGE Gels. The GPR system improves sample quality for downstream sample preparation and detection, elutes proteins from 5kDa to 200kDa in size, removes salts, detergents and dyes for analysis by Mass Spectrometry.
Reagents for SDS Removal
Protea's SDSaway reagent removes SDS detergent from protein samples. The SDSaway detergent removal protein kit contains the reagent and centrifugal ultrafiltration tubes necessary to process protein samples.
SeaClearTM Agaroses for Proteomics and Genomics
A comprehensive line of high resolution Agaroses is offered for the analysis, manipulation, purification and visualisation of nucleic acids and proteins. Standard, Low Melt and Sieving Agaroses are rigourously tested for reproducibility, based on sharpeness and separation, and for the absence of nuclease and protease activities.
Protein and DNA Molecular Weight Markers
Our protein markers are designed for use with Laemmli SDS-PAGE gels. They cover a range of 6500 - 200,000 Da. DNA molecular weight markers are designed for use in all standard agarose separations. We offer low, medium and high molecular weight ranges, and each has a reproducable set of regular base pair ladders.
Ultrapure MALDI Matrices
A range of recrystallised MALDI Matrices is available, that improve your MALDI sensitivity.

Microfilters and Trapping Columns for LCMS/MS
Protea's Microfilters and Trapping columns are made from sample friendly PEEK column bodies and packed with a range of chemistries, RP C18, C8, Cation Exchange WCX, SCX and ZIC-HILIC.
These columns can be used for applications such as pre-column loading in HPLC-MS, off-line SPE and MDLC studies such as MudPIT.
Endoproteinases for Protein Digestion
A range of Protein Digestion Enzymes in immobilised, pre-packed flow through cartridges and individual tubes of mass spec qualified enzyme are available. Proteases available include trypsin, Glu-C, Pepsin, Chymotrypsin and Arg-C. Immobilised enzyme digestion enhances protein reaction via endoproteinases that are conjugated to 5µm PSDVB-based microspheres, producing rapid in-solution digestion.

Syringe Pump
We offer a single Syringe Pump that enables sample infusing or complex automated dispensing. The programable single syringe pump has dual function infusion or withdawal and can be used with syringes from 0.5 µl to 60 ml capacity.
Products for Capillary Electrophoresis
Protea offers PVA coated CE capillaries. Poly(vinyl)alcohol(PVA) is a neutral hydrophilic polymer that can be used to form a thin layer of physically absorbed polymer molecules on fused silica, glass and plastic microfluidic devices. Protea produces high quality PVA coated CE capillaries that have an uncharged surface, yielding near zero EOF conditions.
